While popular Korean martial arts like Tae Kwon Do have spread around the world, generations of warriors have quietly practiced more traditional Korean Combat Arts, preserving centuries-old techniques in virtual secrecy. Now, discover what few people outside of Korea know- the rich tradition of the Korean sword art of Haidong Gumdo. The Korean Samurang developed the sword techniques and what is known as the Code of Honor- a full 400 years before the Japanese.

Instructing this seminar is one of the world's great sword Masters, Jeong Woo Kim. Master Kim is the Vice President and Head of Education for the World Haidong Gumdo Federation of Korea. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to receive training from Master Kim, who typically trains only Black Belt School Owners and Masters of Haidong Gumdo . Participants use a mok-gum , or wooden sword for the training. Learn the Four Basics Tenets; Drawing and returning the sword; Class Etiquette; the Twelve Training Techniques; Ki Gong Breathing Exercises. Mok-gums will be provided for participants and also will be available for purchase.
